X Factor USA gets UK airdate

According to the Radio Times, The X Factor USA will kick off in the UK on September 22, a day after the series premieres in America.

The X Factor commences in the US next week, with a double bill airing on Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22.

The two-hour long episodes are set to be shown in the UK on Thursday 22 at 8pm, and Friday 23 at 9pm, on ITV2.

Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger, Paula Abdul and LA Reid take the hit UK talent series stateside, and it has also been confirmed that Cheryl Cole will make a guest apperance.

The show – hosted by Brit Steve Jones – will follow the same format as the UK series, but with an extra incentive of $5 million prize and recording contract, also the age has been dropped to 14.

Will you be following the American X Factor in the UK?

Cant wait sooooo much talent in the us but on idol they dont have groups and the age is ltd should be good

Worry ye not, there’s room enough for both, although if the current trailer is anything to go by, it’s Simon at his worst, again. :headbang:

Of far greater concern is the Digital spy rumour the Cole is pushing to get back into the UK shows and eject Tulisa. I do truely hope this is just fanciful drivel. :brokenheart:

I’m liking the new UK line up but miss Simon being in it. So this is great news.

the usa one is problay going to be better then the uk because the usa has more talent because look at beyonce, lauren alaina people like that

The US is looking a lot more “managed” and is likely to garner a better selection of guest stars for the live shows.

On the whole, I like the revised UK and there seems a fair bit of talent showing up, kendro aside, hopefully that will continue. So I think it will stand up well enough to the competition.

Have to say the US allowing as young as 12 is pushing it a bit though.
