It has been claimed that UK fans of The X Factor will not get to see the first American series of the show until 2012.
It was confirmed last year that The X Factor USA would broadcast on ITV2, the same channel that airs American Idol and America’s Got Talent in the UK.
Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole left the British series to launch the franchise in the States, but viewers here may have to wait until 2012 to see the show.
A source told The Sun: “The last thing bosses want is the American version taking attention away from the UK show.”
Simon will judge alongside Paula Abdul, L.A. Reid and Nicole Scherzinger after Cheryl Cole was dropped from the line-up. Welsh presenter Steve Jones will front the show.
The X Factor USA premieres in American on Fox on Wednesday, September 21.

Yeah right enough it might take but that`s totally different because USA Version shown on Thursday ,Friday then UK Saturday ,Sunday i don`t see the bother the only thing is if USA stage is bigger more guest and out takes UK that’s what i am worried about
I read somewhere if UK was shown in USA and around the World if would beat the USA version as around 69% like British shows better than USA

To me the X factor is Simon Cowell. I want to see the USA version but if its so out of date showing it months later, whats the point? I think they have totally got the panel wrong for the UK. Time will tell. I will give it ago but dont really hold out much hope. Sorry.

Think they should just show them at same time, X factor fans will watch both shows. By time they show it here we’ll have found out who won it online and seen countless vids on youtube so be not much point of watching

To be honest i think UK will be better than USA this year its going to be longer,Bigger,more action with new judges special guest at boot-camp and live shows and possible a new studio as if heard loads of rumors and with wembely Arena for final its sounds is should get a good a huge success rating anything to smash BBC Strictly Come Dancing
To be honest your opinion counts for zero and you really have no idea, the usa x factor will be the biggest, most watched tv show on the planet by a long long way!
Well maybe true but The X Factor UK is the biggest Show ever in Europe and that is including the other 20 X Factors With pop of UK and USA its a big space in between .UK got 63.8% of UK share which is the biggest record in The X Factor Franchise.
I am no saying this cause i live in UK but i find USA talent shows very very annoying Sometimes .Its like watching Paint Dry basically.
The Whole Reason USA will be bigger is because the size of the Population and them watching it and being shown in other countries.
USA Population is – 307,006,550
UK Population is -61,838,154 – 63,000,000
All i say Is USA will not rock Britain as UK version will be the biggest as its ever been.

You fail rofl, X Factor USA will be the biggest most watched show on the planet. USA might have a bigger population then the UK but they also have about a thousand+ more networks and channels to watch. I have nothing against the UK version of show I will be watching but to be honest Dermot and Lou Walsh or Steve Jones and Simon Cowel (who is the X Factor by the way) there really is no competition. Just gutted we might not be able to watch the only X Factor with the X until next year

I think we should see the USA x factor on different days to the UK version cause if the USA one comes out in 2012 we would known the winner and just watch it on YouTube anyway!!!!
More like, on a US TV website where they basically put up every episode the day after it’s broad cast

If Cheryl Cole was still invovled I think X Factor USA could have been quite popular over here… I think it will still be more popular than American Idol though

It should be shown here on ITV2 as 1 or 2 days after it is aired in the US. No point premiering it in 2012 because most people would have watched the whole thing and EVERYBODY who reads entertainment news will know everything about it including who wins. Utterly pointless!

This is daft. All the news regarding finalists and ultimately the winner will have already been reported BEFORE it is broadcast in the UK! Doh!
Someone said that they were not going to enjoy X Factor this year? Why not. USA might be a bigger country but in terms of broadcasting and channels, UK wins. US X Factor is going to sink down below because of American Idol and the same channel. Okay so ITV broadcasts XF and BGT but they are not the same programme are they? XF & AI are though in terms of mentoring and judging etc.
