Fox renew The X Factor for second season

It has been announced that The X Factor will return to Fox next year for a second series after launching earlier this year.

The Simon Cowell talent contest premiered in America in September on Fox, and the network has renewed the show for another run in 2012.

Fox president Mike Darnell said: “The X Factor is a monumental success. It’s won every night it’s been on the air and the talent is phenomenal.

“The live shows are spectacular and picking it up is a complete no-brainer. Simon and his team have done an incredible job with the show, and I’m absolutely thrilled to bring back The X Factor for another fantastic season.”

Simon himself added: “I am absolutely thrilled with the news. I have loved making the show and I want to thank Fox, our sponsors and, most importantly, the fans for supporting The X Factor.”

It has nothing to do with the Uk judges Angela, the acts just aren’t in the same league. This week saw the demise of the Glee club, Intensity. True, a pick n mix like the Risk, but each and everyone of them would have been put through in the Uk boys and girls long before any of the ones Gary and Kelly “picked”, which is kind of sad really.

Even Astro and the annoying Rachel outshine all the UK contestants. Some bad/odd song choices aside, as usual, I didn’t think any were definitely going home.

I am loving the X factor USA the talent is far superior.

Anonymous I agree Steve Jones is a terrible host and have no doubt he will not be presenting next year.

Bring on Dermott or Nick Cannon

America X factor is totaly uselless. i was really disappointed. why will Simon Cowell not send Astro home? It’s a Shame on Simon Cowell, he should quit as a judge.
