Simon Cowell reportedly wants this year’s X Factor final to move out of the regular studio and into Wembley Arena.

Rumours of the series 8 final moving to a larger venue first arose in May after Cowell promised “very exciting” changes to the show’s format in the final weeks of competition.

The live shows are filmed at Fountain Studios (pictured) with a capacity of 300, but The Sun claims the final will he held at Wembley Arena with room for 12,500 fans.

A source said: “There may have been some concerns about the change in the judging panel, but viewers will forget all of that when they see the new-look show and final.

“We are very excited about making it bigger and better – with a bigger venue, bigger-name guests and more audience members and celebrities than ever before.”

The final is thought to be scheduled for the weekend of December 10/11, with Simon Cowell planning a special appearance following his departure from te panel.
