‘Love and heartache’ has been unveiled as the theme for week 2 of the X Factor live shows, with two guest performers also set to take to the stage over the weekend.

Week 1′s theme was based on hits from the UK and US to ease the finalists into the live shows, but this week has a more specific theme.

An insider told The Sun: “The theme will allow contestants to show their more vulnerable side.”

During Sunday night’s results show, boyband The Wanted and global popstar Katy Perry will be taking to the stage to perform their own tracks.
