Week 1 theme, guest performers confirmed

Ahead of the first X Factor live show of 2011 tomorrow evening, the theme and guest performers for week 1 have been confirmed.

The theme which the 16 finalists will base their song choice on is ‘UK vs US‘.

In fitting with this theme there will be two special guests who will sing over the weekend also.

Cee Lo Green will be representing the US as he performs his track ‘Cry Baby‘, and for the UK, X Factor 2010 winner Matt Cardle will take to the stage to promote his debut single ‘Run For Your Life’, which is released on Sunday.

The X Factor live shows commence Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday at 8pm on ITV1.

    It would be nice it the guest performers could sing more than one song.

    It would be nice if they weren’t needed for ratings in the 1st place. It’s not about guest spots and free publicity for them, it’s about the contestants. :wink:
