The singer rose to fame with hip hop group N-Dubz, and says that when judging on the X Ftor panel, she knows what the auditionees can be feeling as they try to make it in the music industry.
Speaking to Fabulous magazine, the 23-year-old confessed: “I remember my own struggle before I got where I wanted. I remember crying myself to sleep every night wanting it so bad. The thought of not making it reduced me to tears.
“I’m Cancerian, so I’ve got a hard exterior but I’m mushy inside. I find it hard to say no.
“The people who addition, the straight up delusional ones, who think they’re amazing when they’re blatantly not, I don’t have a problem telling them they’re horrific. But those who are more vulnerable and you can see in their eyes how badly they want it, I feel so much heart towards them.”
