Simon Cowell is reportedly wanting new X Factor judges Tulisa and Kelly to have a rivalry similar to that bewteen Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue.
Now Magazine reports that Simon, who quit the UK series earlier this year along with Cheryl and Dannii, “loved” the stories of how the pair didn’t get on, and is attempting to fuel the competitveness between Tulisa and Kelly.
A source said: “He thought the Cheryl and Dannii storied added spark to the show.
“He thinks Kelly and Tulisa are great but they’re too friendly and he wants a bit of tension between them. He keeps texting Kelly and Tulisa separately and reminding them that they’d better win and that they have to be successful.
“He’s creating an atmosphere of competition between them but he keeps saying it’ll make for better live finals. He’s determined to end the niceness between them before those shows start.”
Tulisa has allegedly claimed the new X Factor panel is already divided. A source told The Mirror: “Basically Louis and Tulisa laugh a lot and mess around and Kelly and Gary are there for the music and are more serious.
“They are coming on the show from different viewpoints and for different reasons and that is splitting the panel down the middle. It hasn’t flared up in front of the cameras just yet – but it is getting worse and will come to a head on the live shows.”
Are you hoping to see rivalry on the judging panel?
Keep it central!
