Simon: ‘X Factor is better’ without him

X Factor creator Simon Cowell reportedly thinks the UK series has improved in his absence from the panel.

Cowell left the show earlier this year along with Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue, so Gary Barlow, Kelly Rowland and Tulisa Contostavlos were brought in to judge.

The Sun reports that the music mogul told his publicist, Max Clifford: “I’m thrilled with the numbers.

“The new judging team are doing a brilliant job and the show feels even better this year.

“With me not there, it has taken the age [of the panel] down considerably. We have four individuals being themselves. It is the public who will decide, but I am very pleased with the start.”

The launch of The X Factor on Saturday night attracted a peak audience of 12.6 million, and averaged 11.3 million viewers.

An insider added: “Of course he has a high opinion of himself as a judge, but he truly believes the show is better this year.”

X Factor hopeful Janet Devlin has said she was happy not to be auditioning in front of Simon fro fear of him not liking her.

How do you think the new-look panel faired in the opening episode? Are you missing Simon?

Keep it central!

    your so wrong simon i miss u so much gary is too soft come back simon

      Gary’s too soft, and yet you chose the most pansy judge’s name as your own.

      For your information, Gary tells them straight, so stop comparing Simon’s ego to Garys kind mannerisms.

      Yes, he may let some down gently, but what the hell is wrong with that??

      The panel is better as it is. There wouldn’t be as many people watching if it was always the same old judges all the time.

      Having fresh opinions and personalities makes a fresh show. Deal with it.

    every thing is wrong with that its a joke this year

      How is it a joke?

      This is more to do with the contestants abilities rather than the reactions of the judges, how do you people not get that?

      Also, there has only been one show, and you’re already trying to brand this years X Factor as rubbish.

      If you don’t like it, stop watching it.

      Simple as.

    fuck u , u dont no wats good or bad and clearly there shit get the picture u slow fucker :angry: :angry:

      You need some grammar lessons, anyway ..

      If you’re on about the contestants;
      Whether their ‘shit’ or not, they are put on the show for entertainment value, but as always not all of them are rubbish. There would be no show if they were, would there not?

      If you’re on about the judges;
      Then that is your own opinion, and one that quite honestly doesn’t matter. They don’t chose who they see, and if you don’t like people actually being nice to other people (And from you’re anger issues I can see you don’t) then that’s your problem.

      Get over it, and quite honestly grow up. Foul language when there need not be is tasteless.

      I wouldn`t be surprised if your name was George and perhaps some anger management would help as i think you are more angry at the other persons superior intelligence

    I liked Danni, ignored Cheryl, endured Louie and despised Simon as a venal hypocrite.
    I like Kelly, ignore Tulsa, endure Louie and think Gary should be dropped off the nearest cliff ASAP.

    American Idol didn’t miss Simon and neither will X Factor. He should really take the hint of the other Simon and stay off our screens entirely. :bandit:

    ok youre right about the first few but wrong about simon. Hes the best ever i dont like gary either . louis fly the flag for Ireland hes a total legend .Cherly was alright but she wasnt the best judge . Danni was good its a shame she didnt get any good people to work with.Kelly is good but hard to understand sometimes . Tulsa she ok but not the best at all so yeah i kind of agree with u BUBBA

    The show has improved tenfold with the new judging panel! I’m loving the changes! One person they should never get ride of is that voice over introduction guy, he is BRILLIANT!!!
