Former bands of the show One Direction and JLS will feature on this year’s X Factor charity single it has been announced.
In October, Rose Royce’s ‘Wishing On A Star’ was unveiled as the charity single recorded by this year’s finalists.
Simon Cowell is thought to have asked the groups if they would get involved after admitting the level of this year’s talent wasn’t enough to ensure chart success.
A source told The Sun: “Simon and the other Syco execs want huge sales this year and weren’t sure the contestants would get that on their own. Now they’ll be using One Direction and JLS’s combined fanbase to sell the song. It’s a no-brainer and is bound to be a huge seller now.”
Will you be purchasing the charity track featuring JLS, One Direction and the 16 finalists?
