Amelia Lily Oliver pulled off a brilliant performance at the Liverpool auditions to gain a place at this year’s X Factor Bootcamp.

The nervous Middlesbrough born student took to the stage hoping the judges and audience would “like what they hear”, and sang Janis Joplin’s ‘Piece Of My Heart’.

Tulisa couldn’t believe the voice she was hearing was that of a 16-year-old. “People work their whole lives and take forever to get to that level you are at right now. That was amazing! You blew up the stage and your energy was off the chain.”

“This is the reason I wanted to sit in this chair – to discover talent like this,” said Gary. “That absolutely lifed the top off the arena. For 16-years-old, that was incredible.”

The judges voted and unanimously put Amelia through to Bootcamp.
