X Factor finalist Amelia Lily is fearing an online error by HMV earlier this week could dent her chances as she prepares for this weekend’s final.
On Tuesday, the HMV website began advertising pre-orders for Amelia’s winners single, which swiftly prompted fix claims from X Factor fans.
The retailer claimed a “technical issue” had prevented Marcus and Little Mix’s tracks appearing too, although none of the singles should have been listed.
A source told the Daily Star that the 17-year-old singer is now feeling added pressure.
They said: “Amelia has been on a roller-coaster, being selected, then rejected, then being brought back again and now all this massive headache. It is a wonder she has managed to keep on going.
“She faces a huge test of character. Viewers hate to think they’re being manipulated and the HMV row will make them think that. But, hopefully, Amelia will pull through as she wants this so, so much.”
What do you think of Amelia’s chances of triumphing this weekend?
The X Factor final, live from Wembley Arena, commences on Saturday at 8PM on ITV1.
